When the first Syrian Jews moved to Brooklyn in the early 1900s, they understood that nothing is as important as community. They understood that in order to keep the centuries' old traditions strong they had to keep the community strong, and in order to do that, they had to look out for one another. Now, a hundred years later, the Syrian community is still thriving, and it continues to grow over time. The reason for this is community support systems, such as SBH. SBH is an organization that has been helping th community for 50 years, and for 50 years, SBH has held the entire community's best interests at heart. From food pantries to domestic abuse help to helping young people find jobs, SBH works hard to help every last person in this community. Now, I am trying to help raise funds so that SBH can continue to help those in need. Please help me reach my goal of $1500 so that SBH can continue to help you and the rest of the community. Remember, every dollar counts!
